The functionalities of the Single e-Justice Portal and the eCase app were presented on BNT

Over 4 million court cases have been fully digitized in the database of the Single e-Justice Portal (SEJP). Active users now exceed 21,000, and they have submitted a total of over 240,000 electronic documents. This was revealed in the technology show on the Bulgarian National Television (BNT) "Press F1", where the benefits and functionalities of the SEJP and the eCase mobile app were presented by Snezhanka Smilkova, Deputy Director of Software Integration and Nikoleta Stoyanova, Head of Information and Communication Technologies " Business Analysis Department" at Information Services.

"For several years Information Services has been developing numerous systems and projects in the field of e-justice and digitalization of processes in the judicial system," stated Snezhanka Smilkova. According to her, the judicial system has undergone significant development following the introduction of fully electronic court cases. According to Nikoleta Stoyanova, courts are gradually digitizing case files so that every citizen can find all the information that is available on paper and in electronic format.

In the show, the opportunities provided by the Single e-Justice Portal to individuals and legal entities were presented in detail. The main focus was on registration and creating a user profile using a Qualified Electronic Signature (QES) The methods for making inquiries about initiated court cases, searching for specific cases by various criteria, and demonstrating the possibility of requesting access to the full electronic file of a specific case by submitting the corresponding application through the system were explained. The functionality for submitting documents electronically, including attaching files and their electronic signing, and the possibility of electronic payment of state fees through a virtual POS terminal were demonstrated.

Every registered user in the Single e-Justice Portal has a personalized workspace, which represents a centralized information dashboard. The workspace offers convenient and structured access to recently viewed court cases, upcoming court sessions, documents subject to electronic service (electronic summons and notifications).

The eCase mobile app, which has been developed as an additional tool for accessing court information, was also presented in detail. After pairing the app with the user profile in the SEJP, users get enhanced functionality to view publicly accessible cases, information about a specific case when granted by the court, served or upcoming summons, view scheduled sessions, with the possibility of adding the session to the mobile device's calendar.
