Active users of eZdrave mobile application are over 200,000

Mobile application eZdrave now has over 200,000 active users who have access to all their data from National Health Information System (NHIS) – including examinations, referrals, prescriptions, vaccines, hospitalizations, lab results, and more. Just this year, over 110,000 people have paired their health records with the app, and 75,000 of them did it by visiting an office of Information Services, Regional Health Insurance Fund (RHIF), or Regional Health Inspectorate (RHI), and the rest using a qualified or cloud-based electronic signature.

More than 30,000 new users have paired their health records by taking advantage of Ministry of Health’s campaign “With one click – you control the system,” which provides mobile stations at busy locations across all 28 regions of the country and in smaller towns. The app, developed by Information Services, has been downloaded a total of 483,000 times, and the number of sessions launched has exceeded 6.5 million.

“eZdrave is the clear leader in Bulgaria among apps in the ‘Health & Fitness’ category and tops the download charts in both the App Store and Google Play,” said Branimir Petakov, Head of the Mobile Applications Department at Information Services. According to him, it is among the most innovative app in Europe and the first in Bulgaria to consolidate patient data at a national level.

Since the end of August, a new module called “Health library” is available in NHIS, that is accessible via web portal my.his.bg and the eZdrave app. It brings together verified information provided by Ministry of Health, partner institutions, and experts in various fields. It already contains over 70 publications related to baby care, vaccinations, healthy eating, and more.

“One of the biggest advantages of eZdrave is that the information is presented in a language that is easy for patients to understand and provides parents with access to the health records of their children up to 18 years old,” said Petakov. Through the app, parents can receive notifications about upcoming preventive examinations, tests, and vaccinations – both for themselves and their children.
