The new version of eZdrave app allows transferring a profile from an old to a new phone

Users can now activate eZdrave app on a new mobile device themselves, without using an electronic signature or visiting Regional Health Inspectorate, Regional Health Insurance Fund, or Information Services office again. New version of the application, 3.9.0, allows citizens who already use eZdrave to generate a QR code from their old phone, which can be scanned by the app on the new device in order to activate their profile.
To activate eZdrave, user needs to open Profile menu on their old device, located in the icon with their initials in top-right corner of the app. From Settings menu, they must select Add device. The application then generates a unique QR code valid for 5 minutes, which must be scanned from eZdrave app already installed on the new phone.
The system automatically transfers all examinations, referrals, prescriptions, vaccinations, hospitalizations, laboratory results, preventive care calendar, and other electronic health records registered in National Health Information System (NHIS). Users can choose whether they want to use biometric protection for the app and whether they allow notifications.
Option to reactivate eZdrave without visiting an office is one of the most requested features by app users, as reported to NHIS team in their feedback.
Total number of active users who have access to their health data through eZdrave has now exceeded 260,000. Since the beginning of the year alone, over 170,000 people have activated the app and have access to all electronic health documents saved in NHIS, both for account holder and their children. Data shows that most active users were from Sofia, Plovdiv, Burgas, and Varna. The app, which was developed by Information Services, has been downloaded from the App Store and Google Play a total of 587,000 times, with user sessions exceeding 9.5 million. eZdrave continues to be the leader in Bulgaria among apps in Health and Fitness category and tops the rankings for most downloaded apps.
